Flash drought pattern and trend in China during 1980-2022

In the context of global climate change, flash droughts occur frequently and can have a huge impact on agricultural production and ecosystem functions in the short term. Therefore, it is of great significance to comprehensively and accurately describe the characteristics and trends of drought for drought risk assessment and agricultural disaster reduction in China. This study used long-term lan

Effects of wood vinegar on the tertiary nutrition system of “Glycine max- Aphis glycines -Harmonia axyridis”under drought stress

Wood vinegar (WV) is a biostimulant and a biopesticide that contains pyroligneous acid and is used as a crop growth enhancer and biocontrol agent, but insufficient information exists on WV’s effects on soil quality and cowpea production in Ghana. A field study (2 years) was conducted to determine the appropriate method of applying WV for soil health and cowpea production, and to determine

Destruction mechanism of sand-covered karst collapse in Guangzhou

The current study presents a detailed assessment of risk zones related to karst collapse in Wuhan by analytical hierarchy process (AHP) and logistic regression (LR) models. The results showed that the LR model was more accurate with an area under the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve of 0.911 compared to 0.812 derived from the AHP model. Both models performed well in identifying hig

Fully asynchronous distributed optimization with linear convergence over directed networks

We consider the distributed optimization problem, the goal of which is to minimize the sum of local objective functions over a directed network. Though it has been widely studied recently, most of the existing algorithms are designed for synchronized or randomly activated implementation, which may create deadlocks in practice. In sharp contrast, we propose a fully asynchronous push-pull gradien
